Itzchak Marmorstein was born in Israel in 1951, moved to Canada when he was 8 and has been oscillating between Israel and Canada for some time. He was ordained by Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg of Jerusalem in 1989, Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach, Z"L in 1992 and Rabbi Zalman Schachter Shalomi in 1996. He has been a student and teacher of Torah and Kabbala in Jerusalem and North America for more than 25 years.
He received his Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Toronto in 1976. As the educational director of Mercaz HaRaya he teaches the Torah of Rav Kook and Kabbala in a variety of Jewish and non-Jewish settings.
